Nashke Native Games invites everyone to come and p Nashke Native Games invites everyone to come and play. The state of Minnesota is home to both the Dakota and Ojibwe nations. Playing these games is a celebration of Minnesota culture—even more than tater tot hot dish or lutefisk. Nashke Native Games has developed reimagined traditional games and new games based on Ojibwe cultural traditions. Nashke invented Mii Gwech, a fast-paced card game that introduces players to the fur trade era. Each of the four collections of Mii Gwech feature a card game, a memory tile matching game, and puzzle. Detailed illustrations and clear instructions make these games engaging for players of all ages. Cards are printed in both English and Ojibwe for easy vocabulary acquisition. The instructions provide table talk in both languages as well as cultural teachings about the games’ origins. Choose from boxed sets, individual games and puzzles, and native-designed greeting cards. As a semi-finalist in the Minnesota Cup, this growing small business made new contacts for both sourcing and distributing their games. My kiddos and I headed north to Roseville for our first-ever visit to a claw arcade. @nekoclawww has created a fun-filled destination with a range of claw, scissor, and Gatcha machines to test your dexterity and bring you thrills. The staff was incredibly nice! They were so helpful with tips on how to use the claws. Ask them to fluff the prizes and for advice. They’re experts! The machines are loaded with a range of adorable and colorful plush friends. Exchange your machine winnings for one of the specialty gifts from the prize shelves. What new friends will you bring home? There’s mini claw machines with keychains and knick knacks to decorate your backpack too. It’s so thrilling to watch your plush come down the chute. The Neko Clawww team changes the prizes out regularly for seasonal fun. Follow their account to see what’s new at the arcade. The idea for the arcade came about when one of the business partners visited a claw machine arcade in Las Vegas and had an amazing experience. They had so much fun and came back with a bunch of plushies, which got the team talking. The founders have always been a fan of cartoons and different types of plush toys, so they thought—why not bring that same joy here and create a space for others to enjoy? They spent a lot of time choosing the right location. The Roseville plaza is a great fit. There’s a cat café and a LEGO store here too, so they felt like their arcade would add to the diversity and bring even more happiness to the community. That’s how Neko Clawww came to be in Roseville! Upload your product image directly onto the website as well.  Makers have the option to include a discount code. This code will not be published to the website. It is a perk of being a MTMM newsletter subscriber. Please state in the form how the code can be applied (in-person at events is okay!) and when it expires.  Shoppers can mark their favorites and have their custom list sent to them via email. Each listing includes a link to your website, social media, featured products, and where to find you. After the holidays we’ll remove the section with your upcoming events and leave the rest of the information so that shoppers can use this resource through the end of October 2025. (That’s the goal, isn’t it? We want to make it as easy as possible for people to always shop local first.) $15 application fee (reimbursable for MN Grown businesses) and voluntary sponsorship to make the guide accessible to businesses of all sizes. We’ve made major upgrades to last year’s downloadable version.  Complete your application through the MTMM website. Select categories and tags from the drop down menus to help shoppers search for your business in the guide. Upload your product image directly onto the website as well.  Makers have the option to include a discount code. This code will not be published to the website. It is a perk of being a MTMM newsletter subscriber.
